Campaign Story

My name is Charles Brewer, founder of Kajani Roots. Kajani Roots is an premuim African-Caribbean sauces and seasonings brand thats delivers bold, authentic, award-winning flavors. Our vibrant seasoning blends and rich sauces are made to enhance any food product while turning everyday meals into unforgettable experiences.

Kajani’s mission is to increase awareness of African-Caribbean flavors and taste while elevating every kitchen we touch.

Over the past several years, I’ve been developing and refining my sauces and seasonings line. Our flavors have already proven themselves—winning Best Wings multiple years—and now I’m ready to take the next step.

My goal within the next year or so is to finalize our full line of sauces and seasonings and begin securing a small location to mass produce our flavors and either open Kajani Roots Wing Hut or Kajani Roots Afro-Caribbean Grill.

Kajani Roots Wing Hut or Kajani Roots Afro-Caribbean Grill will be a small wing shop or fast casual restaurant rooted in African and Caribbean culture, serving bold, unique flavors you can’t find anywhere else.

What makes us different is that every wing or bowls will feature our Kajani Roots sauces and seasonings line—flavors built from tradition, passion, and years of hard work.

How This Funding Will Help

This funding will help me accomplish two major goals:

1. Finalize to fully launch Kajani Roots sauces and seasonings
The funds will help cover final production, packaging, labeling, and initial inventory so our products can be sold both in-store, online, and retail.

2. Secure and open a small Kajani Roots Wing Hut or Kajani Roots Afro-Caribbean Grill
This will allow me to begin searching for a small restaurant space  either in Lincoln, Omaha, or Kansas City and take the first steps toward opening our doors and will also be the space where we will be producing all of our products.

How the Funds Will Be Used

• Equipment and smallwares for the wing hut/Afro-Caribbean Grill

• Initial food and supply inventory

• Packaging and labeling for sauces and seasonings

• Production and co-packer startup costs

• Licensing, permits, and operational expenses

My Vision

Kajani is more than just a sauces and seasoning line, wing shop, or a Build Your Own Bowl restaurant. It’s the foundation for a brand that will grow into restaurants and retail products sold in stores across the country and be in every household.

This journey is about building something meaningful, creating opportunity, and showing my children and my community what’s possible through hard work and faith.
